Description
A wonderful antique French Lady doll with a bisque swivel head on a bisque shoulder plate. The back of the head has the marking E/O. A French fashion doll marked "E/O" is likely a doll from the firm of E. Jumeau (a.k.a. Maison Jumeau) or possibly François Gaultier (FG). Light brown human hair wig with original cork pate. Pale blue glass inset eyes, painted upper and lower lashes, feathered brows, accented nostrils, and eye corners. A closed mouth with accented lips. Pierced ears with dark red beads with a matching necklace. On a good leather body with a shapely torso and individually stitched fingers. Straight legs. Wearing a cream colored two piece dress with red stitching and trim. White undergarments and antique red leather boots. A pretty hat with feathers and a bow. The bisque head and shoulder plate are in very good condition. No damage, cracks, or repairs to the head. Leather body in good condition with minor wear. Very nicely dressed.
