Description

(br>This lot includes three vintage Orange Crush soda bottles, consisting of a rare early green "Ward’s Orange Crush" example and two classic amber "Krinkly" bottles. Orange Crush was originally introduced in 1911 by its creator, Neil C. Ward, and the name "Ward’s Orange Crush" was used during the brand’s early years. The original formula, produced through the 1930s, contained real orange pulp, and the later amber ribbed "Krinkly" bottles were reportedly designed to help protect the soda’s flavor.

The "Ward’s Orange Crush" green bottle is an uncommon color variation, as most bottles from the 1920s were clear. It was bottled by the Orange Crush Company, Chicago. It is a 6 fl. oz. bottle with the original paper label intact, marked 30-S on the bottom, and measures 2 5/8" D x 10" H.

The second bottle is an amber glass Orange Crush soda bottle featuring the "Crushy" mascot, dating from approximately the 1920s–1950s. The orange and white diamond-shaped label displays the brand name and indicates a 6 fl. oz. capacity. It was bottled by the Central Beverage Co. of Phoenix, Arizona, and measures 2 5/8" D x 8" H.

The third bottle is still full and sealed with its original bottle cap. It features an orange and black diamond-shaped label with the "Crushy" mascot and indicates a 7 fl. oz. capacity. It measures approximately 2.25" D x 9" H.
