Lot 137:
Description
A unique and fun grab bag lot of three gasoline-related single-sided porcelain signs. The first is a scarce 1950s Atlantic gas pump plate with the bent lines logo. This new old stock plate is glossy and retains all four brass grommets, with a clean field and perimeter, showing only some discoloration in the lower left corner. It measures approximately 13" L x 7.5" H. The next piece is a 1930s Standard Oil & Gas Company well lease insert. It retains some gloss but shows fading, with one mounting hole, a chip between the P and A in "Company" in the field, and rust bleed-through and chipping along the perimeter. It measures approximately 6" D. The last piece is a Standard Oil Company of California truck badge warning sign. It is glossy and clean throughout, retains its grommets, and measures approximately 4" L x 3" H.
