Description
This is a great pairing of four Western Union single-sided porcelain signs together with a porcelain Western Union call box. The first is a Western Union "Telegraph and Cable Blanks" sign retaining nice gloss, with two mounting holes, both retaining grommets; the field is clean with minimal wear, and the perimeter shows chips along the edges and a chip at the right mounting hole; it measures 9" L x 4" H. The second is a convex Western Union call box "Push" sign with nice gloss and two mounting holes with grommets; the field shows minimal wear, and the perimeter shows light chipping along the edges and around the left mounting hole; it measures 10" L x 2.5" H. The third is a Western Union sign retaining nice gloss, with two mounting holes, both with grommets; the field shows minimal wear with slight discoloration to the left, and the perimeter shows chipping along the edges; it measures approximately 14.5" L x 2.5" H. Lastly is a porcelain Western Union call box ringer marked "W.U. TEL. CO. CALL BOX 5-8" (possibly 6-8); the ringer makes a small sound, and the porcelain front retains gloss; it measures approximately 4" W x 6" H.
