Description
This antique mechanical wind-up rooster Easter toy is likely of German origin, dating to the early 1900s. It features a molded composition or plaster head and hands with metal legs and feet. The rooster is charmingly dressed in a jacket and carries a small basket on its back, adding to its festive appeal. Designed as a walking toy, it operates by a wind-up mechanism; however, when tested, the key wound and released immediately and it did not function. It measures approximately 7.5" H.
