Description
Large scale cast iron clockwork train with tender attributed to Ives, though similar to Seacor examples. American-style cow catcher, separate bell, and early northeast brass clockwork mechanism that works. Cast in three-band design with locomotive measuring approximately 9" L and coal car approximately 6" L. Original paint remains outstanding at nearly 140 years of age. Amazing!
