The mechanical version of this Carette tin car is documented in French 1905 catalog number 3358/3 with two passengers. Car attributed to Issmayer, Germany. This outstanding variation has a mechanical clockwork and a lady that hits the driver with a handkerchief. Driver’s neck extends up half an inch in an amusing manner, similar to Lehmann toys. Riders are hand painted, with lithographed blue, red, light blue, black, and gold. Car approximately 15 cm or 6 inches long.
