Description
This is a J & E Stevens ca. 1800s Cast Iron No. 120 "Novelty Bank" house-shaped mechanical bank. The bank has a cashier inside who stands ready to accept your deposit at all times. When you open the door, you place the coin in his hands for deposit, then let go of the door, and the cashier turns to deposit the money into the vault. The money is accessed via the screwed trap located on the bottom; the trap is present. The paint is bright and all original. The door spring has been rewired, as can be seen in the photos of the open door. The bank is approximately 4.75" L x 4.75" W x 6.75" H.
