Description
This is a Kyser & Rex cast iron mechanical Organ Bank/Organ Grinder Bank with a cat and dog. The bank operates by placing a coin on the monkey’s tray and turning the crank clockwise. As you continue to turn the crank, the monkey drops the tray, depositing the coin into the slot on top of the platform, while the cat and dog dance around to the "music" created by an internal bell that rings constantly. Meanwhile, the monkey tips his hat back and forth in appreciation for the deposit. This is tested and functions as it should. The Trap is present, no key included. The patent date "1882" appears on the back of the bank. It measures approximately 6 1/4" L (with the crank), 5.25" L (at the base) x 4" W x 7.75" H.
