Description
This is a set of 3 windup toys. The first is a vintage Occupied Japan T.A. Mechanical Hungry Chicks “Non-Inflammable” Acetiloid/Plastic Japanese windup toy in the box. It has two actions: the three chicks bob up and down while the canopy with hanging flowers spins, causing the three small bells in the center to ring. The toy is in two pieces, with the canopy fitting onto a metal spindle in the middle of the base. There is a crack on the base, but it does not affect playability. It measures approximately 6.75" H. The other two are 1950s Alps windup Sambo the Minstrel Man monkey guitar-playing figures, including one regular version and one scarcer “golden” version. The regular version shows a side split that can be repaired. Both have been tested and work. They each measure approximately 8.5" H.
