David Woodward Estate Tin Toy Collection
This is a celluloid windup white elephant, similar to the “Henry on Elephant” toy but in a white variation with no characters. Manufactured by Koyo Metal Co./Koyo Kinzoku Co., Ltd. of Japan and imported by George Borgfeldt & Co., New York, the elephant’s head nods up and down when wound with its original key. The windup mechanism is strong and fully functional, with original metal hooks securing the nodding action. Paint and overspray are consistent with production, and colors remain vivid. Marked “Japan” with the Koyo “K” logo on the belly. Measures approximately 8" L x 6" H.
