This is the “unknown version.” With only three known coming to market in recent years, this one is considered extremely rare. Regardless of the missing and one petrified tread, this example is stunning, clean enough that you can see your reflection in it. Most likely made for a special purpose, which would explain its extreme rarity, these examples just do not come up for sale. The red color pops off the nickel plating, and the tow hook is present. This example comes with a wonderful box that has been wrapped for preservation. It measures approximately 5" L.
