Description
A rare antique German bisque socket head character boy doll by Kley and Hahn, marked K & H 526, Germany. He has intaglio blue painted eyes with lightly painted upper lashes and short feathered brows, black eyeliner outlining the top lid, accented nostrils and eye corners, and a closed mouth with full lips. He has a full brunette mohair wig and a composition and wooden ball-jointed body stamped in blue Germany. He is wearing a one-piece white cotton collared long-sleeve shirt and shorts with blue and white pinstripe overalls, along with a straw hat, red socks, and antique red leather shoes. It measures approximately 16" H x 10.5" Cir. Bisque head is in very good condition with no damage, cracks, or repairs, and the face paint is very nicely done. Jointed body is in good condition with good stringing, and he has cute clothing with antique shoes.
