Description
An impressive and large example of a Simon Halbig Santa doll with a bisque head marked 1248 Halbig, Germany, S & H. She is marked 14 on the bottom back base of her neck. She has big, blue, sleepy eyes with all eyelid paint intact, upper and lower painted lashes, feathered brows, rosy blush coloring on cheeks, and an open mouth with teeth. Factory mark on the lower lip, which is known as a Santa marking. Pierced ears with long blue hanging earrings and a pretty long blonde wig with bangs. She is on an antique composition body in very good condition with original finish, and is wearing antique white undergarments and an antique white cotton dress. It measures approximately 30" H x 12" Cir. Very good condition with no damage, cracks, or repairs to the bisque head, sleepy eyes that work well, and an antique composition body in very good condition. Stringing is good, and this is a very good example of a Santa doll.
