Description
A wonderful example of the character doll Sammy by Kestner with a head marked Made in Germany JDK 211. This nice, large baby doll has a blonde human hair wig, blue sleepy eyes with all eyelid paint intact, upper and lower painted lashes, feathered brows, rosy blush cheeks with no rubs, an open mouth with two bottom teeth, and a dimpled chin. She is on an antique composition bent limb body and is wearing light blue velvet pants with buttons at the bottom and a matching button-up coat with an antique lace collar, along with white leather moccasin shoes and a crochet blue hat. It measures approximately 24" H x 16.5" Cir. Very good condition with no damage, cracks, or repairs to the head, sleepy eyes that work well, and a body in good condition for age with original finish. Stringing is good.
