Description
A poster advertisement by ROMAIN DE TIRTOFF (ERTE) (1892-1990), the twentieth-century artist and designer known for work in fashion, jewelry, graphic arts, and costume. This spring water poster depicts a biblical scene of Adam and Eve catching fruit falling from the "forbidden tree, " which houses the serpent. The bottom caption reads "From the nature island, Eau Erte, natural spring water." The poster is mounted on linen and measures approximately 60" W x 48" H.
