The Great Toy Expedition: A Spring Auction
Lot 255:
Description
A pairing of two fun toys including a vintage tinplate crank music box manufactured in Germany during the early 20th century. Made of tin with a wooden hand-crank lever for winding, it features lithographed illustrations of children playing with horses and dolls. The mechanical toy plays a tune when the handle is turned, and we tested it and found it to be working for us. It measures approximately 3" D. Also included is an unmarked small four-passenger hand-crank driven windup Ferris wheel, circa 1935. Toy similar to J Chein and Buffalo Toys US tin stampings. It measures approximately 6.5" H.
