Description
Splendid early American horse-drawn wagon by Carpenter Toys, circa 1885. The company was founded in 1880 by Francis W. Carpenter in Port Chester, New York. The toy most likely has a replacement driver, or “flat” figure, with bench. The horse is a patented removable design that can be reattached to the carriage and rocks. It measures approximately 10" L x 5" W x 5" H. From the Professor Jack B. Carter Estate.
