Description
Belgian Francotte Auguste Velo-Dog revolver chambered in 5.75 Velo-Dog, Liège, Belgium. The action functions with a 12-round cylinder. Corrosion and pitting are present on the frame and blued parts. The grip frame is marked "5," the cylinder is marked "5" and "7," and the ejector rod housing is marked "7." The Belgian Velo-Dog revolver was developed to protect cyclists (velocipedists) from dogs and chambered in 5.5mm Velo-Dog centerfire. The action functions and fires, and the safety lever works properly, preventing the hammer from falling when engaged. It has a 12-round cylinder. Corrosion and pitting are present on the plated frame and blued parts. Marked with Crown over R proof, V star, and Lion over PV markings behind the barrel.
