Description
Colt U.S. Army Model 1909 double action revolver chambered in .45 Colt with nickel finish. The revolver is marked serial number 37695 on the yoke, frame, and butt, with 7695 marked on the cylinder latch. The right frame above the grip is stamped “R.A.C.” and “F.B.” is marked aft of the cylinder on the right side. The barrel is marked “UNITED STATES PROPERTY” on the underside and “COLT D.A. .45” on the side. The top roll mark reads “COLTS PT F.A. MFG. CO. HARTFORD CT.” with patent dates of 1884, 1900, and 1905. The action functions properly in both double and single action. The revolver features a 6-round cylinder and retains a good bore with strong rifling.
