Manufactured by Tropical Trading Company, Inc. of Chicago, Illinois, this 1940s Challenger Deluxe Hot Nut Vendor machine is constructed of polished aluminum and features three glass dispensing jars with original decals. The machine operates on 5? and 10? coins, and all three dispensing dials turn properly. An attached Ajax Cups Dispenser by U.S. Envelope Co. is mounted to the side. The machine retains a power switch; however, when tested during cataloging, no heat or illumination was observed, and functionality could not be determined. Keys are not included. The machine measures approximately 16.5" L x 6" W x 22" H, or approximately 19" L including the attached cup dispenser. The glass jars each measure approximately 4" L x 4" W x 7" H.
