Summer Sign, Advertising, & Doll Spectacular
This vintage Alonzo "Lon" Megargee lithograph titled Black Bart was commissioned by Arizona Brewing Co. in the 1940s to advertise A-1 Beer. The artwork depicts the notorious stagecoach robber Charles Earl Bowles, better known as Black Bart, receiving a shave in a barber shop scene commonly referred to as The Barber and the Bandit. The lithograph shows fading from age. It measures approximately 36" L x 24" H.
