A rare German Art Studio doll by Dora Petzold, dating to the 1930s-1940s and created in the image of a beautiful girl toddler. Measuring approximately 24" H, Petzold constructed her doll heads using layered papier-m?ch?, pressed cardboard, silk, or unique composition blends to create lifelike, pensive, and stylized expressions. The doll features blonde hair, painted blue eyes and facial features, a poseable cloth-stuffed body with celluloid hands, and swiveling head and hands for posing. She is dressed in undergarments, a sheer yellow dress with orange trim, orange felt shoes, and a straw hat. Overall, the doll is in very good condition.
