Five antique German bisque head dolls for restoration by Simon Halbig, Armand Marseille, Kestner, and other German makers. Included is a 27" bisque shoulder plate doll marked DEP 154 (Kestner), dressed in a long peach dress. The head and shoulder plate have no damage, while the cloth body and composition hands are both in poor condition. Also included is an 18" bisque shoulder plate doll marked 166 Made in Germany (Kestner) with a brown wig, blue set eyes, and a crack extending from above the left eye to the rim. She retains a cloth body and is nicely dressed. A small Armand Marseille doll marked 390 features a bisque head on a composition body marked Germany, blue sleepy eyes, a head free of cracks, and damage to the fingertips and toes. Also included is a 22" bisque head doll marked Heinrich Handwerck Simon Halbig, wearing an orange dress with a brown wig and mounted on a marked Heinrich Handwerck composition jointed body. The head has no damage or cracks, the body is in good condition, but the doll is missing its eyes. Completing the lot is a bisque shoulder head doll with a slightly turned head marked 8, featuring a crack from the upper right side of the head toward the rim, a good leather body with lower bisque arms, a black wig, a long white dress, and an extra dress with underskirt. Overall, the lot is in fair condition. All dolls require some level of restoration and are being offered for parts or repair.
