Offered here is an unsearched estate collection of over 120 glass marbles featuring an outstanding mix of antique handmade and vintage machine-made examples dating from the 1890s through the 1960s. Highlights include two authentic 1890s German handmade corkscrew marbles consisting of one large master shooter and one smaller player, both displaying honest play wear and surface damage consistent with their more than 130-year history. Also included is an original 1950s Marble King clear plastic retail bag with its cardboard header card intact reading "Our Marbles Crown Kings – Paden City, W. Va., " containing vintage cat’s eye marbles. The remaining loose marbles include high-gloss Marble King Rainbows, Vitro Agate marbles, multi-vane cat’s eyes, translucent clearies, and a beautiful large cobalt blue shooter. The German handmade corkscrew marbles exhibit play-related damage and surface chips, while the remaining vintage machine-made marbles retain excellent gloss with typical light play wear and occasional factory cold-roller marks. The original Marble King header bag shows expected storage wear consistent with its age.
