A very difficult toy to find, this larger 1962 Oldsmobile four-door hardtop by Ichiko of Japan was tested during cataloging, and the friction mechanism was found to be in working condition. The toy shows only light play wear with four minor paint marks, while the bottom plate exhibits only minor use. For collectors and historians, the box is marked "’98" and "98," which would indicate a two-door sports model; however, the toy itself is actually an Oldsmobile 88. An expertly reproduced box accompanies this example. The toy remains in Very Good to Excellent condition and measures approximately 11" L.
