The James Gillespie Estate Soldiers & Cast Iron Toys Auction
Eight German Kriegsmarine Navy figures from Elastolin and Lineol represent high command, officers, soldiers, and ceremonial flag bearers. The group includes two distinct flag bearers, one carrying a highly detailed lithographed sheet-metal Kriegsmarine swastika war flag, along with an admiral in a white greatcoat with a dress sword, a running officer in a tropical white uniform with brown field puttees firing a pistol, two naval commanders in peak caps standing at attention, a standard marching officer, and a sailor marching with a shoulder-slung rifle. One flag is composite, while the other is metal and removable from the pole. Normal wear from age and handling is present. The figures range from approximately 7 cm to 7.5 cm H from the base to the top of the head. The overall condition is good.
