The James Gillespie Estate Soldiers & Cast Iron Toys Auction
A command grouping of six Lineol and Elastolin Wehrmacht headquarters staff figures presents officers, standard bearers, and field command personnel in a variety of formal and observational poses. The group includes a standard bearer holding a square swastika command pole flag, an officer in a long greatcoat standing with one hand on his hip, and an officer standing casually with a sword. The formation continues with a spotting officer extending his arm to direct movement, an officer looking through binoculars, and a Schellenbaum bearer carrying a Jingling Johnnie standard topped with an eagle finial and draped with suspended horsehair plumes. The Jingling Johnnie and Nazi flag are removable. Normal light wear from age and handling is present. The figures range from approximately 7 cm to 7.5 cm H from the base to the top of the head. Three figures are in very good condition, while three are in good overall condition.
