The James Gillespie Estate Soldiers & Cast Iron Toys Auction
A focused grouping of four Lineol Italian Royal Army military band figures centers on percussion and brass musicians with a distinctive timpani setup. The group includes a marching bass drummer raising a mallet, a cymbalist striking a pair of brass cymbals, a horn player blowing a trumpet, and a stationary timpanist with both arms raised above a pair of detached, tripod-mounted kettle drums. Normal light wear from age and handling is present. The figures range from approximately 7 cm to 7.5 cm H from the base to the top of the head.
