The James Gillespie Estate Soldiers & Cast Iron Toys Auction
Six Elastolin German Wehrmacht infantry combat figures are shown in a variety of active battlefield poses. The group includes an infantryman aiming his rifle upward in an anti-aircraft stance, an advancing rifleman lunging forward with a fixed bayonet, a charging soldier running forward while firing a pistol, a signaling officer raising a thin sword, a crouching infantryman rushing forward with his rifle held low, and a standing officer in a brown-trousered dress service uniform. Normal wear from age and handling is present. The soldier sprinting with a rifle has a loose arm. The figures range from approximately 6.5 cm to 7.5 cm H from the base to the top of the head. Two figures are in very good condition, while four are in good overall condition.
