One of the last L-29 Cords produced by Marc Tyree and AntiqueToys.com, this piece is based on Brooks Stevens’ personal "hot rod" of the time, a modified L-29 Cord. The sculpture was handmade in aluminum, polished, and plated by Marc Tyree. This is No. 9 from an edition of 10 and measures approximately 11" L. Well known in his day, Clifford Brooks Stevens (June 7, 1911 – January 4, 1995) was an American industrial designer of home furnishings, appliances, automobiles, passenger railroad cars, and motorcycles, as well as a graphic designer and stylist.
