The James Gillespie Estate Soldiers & Cast Iron Toys Auction
Three dolls are offered together, including an approximately 18" H Betty Lou doll with a washable face, replaced shoes and socks, original dress, oil-painted face, and a label reading "Betty Lou." Also included is an unusual approximately 14" H doll made in Hesse, Germany, after World War II by Liebenauer, with a body appearing to be made largely of linen cloth. Completing the group is an approximately 12" H Scharzhalder celluloid doll with tag and hat. The head is in great condition with no cracks or breaks.
