The James Gillespie Estate Soldiers & Cast Iron Toys Auction
Three unusual antique Japanese and Chinese dolls are offered together. The first is an approximately 16" H Chinese composition and cloth doll retaining its original clothing, tag, and a second place ribbon from the United Federation of Doll Clubs. The second is an approximately 11" H early Ichimatsu-type doll dating from around 1920-1940, restored and redressed. The third is an approximately 14" H doll with a composition head, wooden stand, glass eyes, and a traditional silk kimono outfit.
