Description
Rare French, early ca. 1865 Gustave Vichy bisque head boy with closed mouth, wooden arms and legs, seated on a cast metal tricycle with large spoked wheels and original red and black stenciled paint. He is dressed in a silk outfit with a matching cap. When wound, this working example moves forward and in circles while the boy turns the pedals and shifts side to side. The tin housing over the windup has been resoldered back on. It measures approximately 8" L x 4" W x 8" H.
