Description
Pair of French Artillery Officers’ flintlock pocket pistols by Prevoteau Fils of Paris, circa 1820, housed in a fitted case with accessories. The pistols are consecutively serial-numbered 1 and 2, marked on the bottom of the frames, aft of the barrels. Each features a flintlock mechanism with a drop-down trigger that deploys when the hammer is cocked. Both hammers strike properly when the trigger is pressed. The pistols retain over 75% of their plated finish with minor toning spots. Fitted with exotic wood grips exhibiting tight, dark grain.
