Description
Allen & Pepperidge Civil War era bullet mold. This antique iron bullet mold was utilized during the American Civil War to manufacture lead ammunition. The tool functions like pliers, allowing molten lead to be poured into the cavity to cast solid bullets such as round balls or Minie balls. Often referred to as a scissors-type mold, it features two arms that open and close with an interior cavity to form the projectile. Soldiers frequently carried these molds to produce ammunition as needed, ensuring a steady supply for their firearms. It measures approximately 6.75" L.
