Summer Sign, Advertising, & Doll Spectacular
This 1910s/1920s Wrigley’s Spearmint Gum lithograph trolley/streetcar advertising sign features the famous Spearman-era slogan, "Use Daily – Sweetens the Breath, " alongside striking artwork by Otis Shepard. The design portrays a pack of gum as a train tunnel with a steamship in the foreground. The piece has survived remarkably well for a paper advertising item. Central colors remain strong, and the primary graphics are free of heavy damage. Light edge scuffing, minor corner chips, and standard surface aging are present, with the most noticeable corner wear at the upper left. The sign is housed in a protective sleeve with cardboard backing and measures approximately 21" L x 11" H.
