Summer Sign, Advertising, & Doll Spectacular
A delightful lot of four antique German bisque head baby dolls includes examples by Kestner, Konig & Wernicke, Hertel & Schwab, and other German makers. The first is an 11" solid dome bisque head doll marked 3-2, featuring molded and painted hair, intaglio-painted blue eyes, an open mouth with two upper teeth, molded tongue and dimples, a bent-limb jointed composition body, good stringing, and antique clothing. The second is a Hertel & Schwab doll marked 152, with blonde hair, brown sleepy eyes, painted upper and lower lashes, short feathered brows, an open mouth with upper teeth and molded tongue, a composition body with a broken right pointer finger and hand wear, and dressed in an antique dress and bonnet. It measures approximately 14" H with a 10" circumference. The third is a 12" baby doll marked R86A, featuring blonde hair, blue sleepy eyes, upper and lower painted lashes, feathered brows, a composition body with repairs to the toes, and wearing an antique cotton dress and bonnet. It measures approximately 12" H with a 9" circumference. Completing the lot is a large Konig & Wernicke baby doll with brown sleepy eyes, upper and lower painted lashes, an open-closed mouth with two upper teeth, a small hairline over the right ear, and a large antique body marked K & W Made in Germany. The left hand has damage with part of the hand and two fingers missing. Overall, the dolls are in very good condition.
