Summer Sign, Advertising, & Doll Spectacular
Designed by French artist Leon Dupin, this rare Rita Gaufres Seches store advertising display standee dates to the 1930s or 1940s and promotes Rita gingerbread. Constructed of cardboard, the display reads "Le Pain d’Epices de Qualite" ("Quality Gingerbread") and retains its original easel stand on the reverse for countertop display. Included with the standee is an empty Rita product box intended to accompany the display. A unique and seldom-seen piece of French bakery advertising. It measures approximately 11" L x 3" W x 14" H.
