The Summer Discovery Toy Auction
This hand-painted matching production set includes original Hanna-Barbera animation cels and the matching animator’s production drawing from the 1985-1988 Hanna-Barbera crossover animated series Yogi’s Treasure Hunt. It features Yogi Bear, Snagglepuss, Augie Dogie, Doggie Daddy, and Huckleberry Hound. The cel has three layers. The cels do not show any paint flaking. There is a small scuff in the light beam, some slight scratching to the flashlight where the light emits, and some fine-line paint loss around Doggie Daddy’s eyes and hair, which is normal for production cels. The black outline is on the front of the acetate sheets and is slightly raised, while the color paint is on the back of the sheets and is thick, matte, and uneven. Each layer has its sequencing and layer codes. All are marked "HB363" and "3OP." The top layer is marked "1/2," the second layer is marked "02," and the third layer is marked "H2." The matching production drawing is marked "3-30P" and "H2." Each layer exhibits some age-related adhesion to the next. We did not attempt to separate the layers to avoid risking damage to the original painted surfaces. The set is being sold in its current condition. Both measure approximately 12 3/8" L x 10 3/8" H.
