The Summer Discovery Toy Auction
This is a vintage two-piece matching production set with the hand-painted animation cel and the matching animator’s production drawing of Droopy Dog from Season 1, Episode 3, Super Droop & Dripple Boy Meet Yolker, from the Hanna-Barbera Tom and Jerry Kids Show, which originally aired on September 22, 1990. The paint is sharp and shows no flaking. The black outlines are on the front of the acetate sheet and are slightly raised, while the color paint is on the back of the sheet and is thick, matte, and uneven. Each layer has its sequencing and layer codes. Both are marked "8943," "39," and "D2." The cel exhibits some age-related adhesion to the production drawing underneath. We did not attempt to separate the layers completely to avoid risking damage to the original painted surfaces. The set is being sold in its current condition. Both measure approximately 12.5" L x 10.5" H.
