The James Gillespie Estate Soldiers & Cast Iron Toys Auction
An assorted grouping of four Elastolin SA and European infantry figures brings together several distinct historical military types in standing and marching poses. From left to right, the group includes a Sturmabteilung SA musician in a brown shirt and kepi hat playing an oboe with swastika armband detail, a British infantry musician in full khaki uniform and Brodie steel helmet playing a clarinet, a German Wehrmacht infantryman marching forward with a rifle slung over his shoulder and carrying a full field pack, and a specialized German infantry musician in field gray attire with red and white striped swallows-nest shoulder trim playing a woodwind instrument. Normal light wear from age and handling is present. The soldiers measure approximately 10 cm H from the base to the top of the head. Two figures are in very good condition, while two are in good overall condition.
