The James Gillespie Estate Soldiers & Cast Iron Toys Auction
Seven CC Milano Italian Royal Army Bersaglieri and infantry figures make up a varied combat and support grouping. Specialized Bersaglieri troops wear their characteristic broad-brimmed hats and include a running officer with a drawn sword, an infantryman marching in a rain cape, a scout with a slung rifle, a lookout with binoculars, and a dispatch rider or bugler riding a bicycle while blowing a horn. Also included are a marching Alpini mountain soldier with a feathered cap and a surrendered prisoner with raised hands. The figures measure approximately 3.25" to 3.5" H, while the bicycle measures approximately 3.25" L. Normal wear from age and handling is present, with cracks to the bicycle tires and wheels. Four figures are in good condition, and three are in very good overall condition.
