The James Gillespie Estate Soldiers & Cast Iron Toys Auction
Five Rovello Italian Royal Army figures represent infantry and specialized support roles. The group includes a handler leading a white military dog on a shared base, a standard bearer with a sculpted Italian flag, an advancing submachine gunner, a kneeling navigator studying a map, and a surrendering soldier with both arms raised. The figures measure approximately 3.5" to 4" H. Normal wear from age and handling is present, with a couple of ankle cracks and a repair to the surrendering figure’s left arm. The set is in good overall condition.
