The James Gillespie Estate Soldiers & Cast Iron Toys Auction
Early and desirable, this circa 1905 Kenton Toys Egyptian on Boar Cart No. 800 features incredibly detailed casting on the boar and is a master class in cast iron artistry. One peg connecting the frame to the boar’s hind quarter is missing. The Egyptian rider appears all original and is the more desirable painted variation, while the boar still retains red mouth and white eye highlights. The paintwork and toy are original. It measures approximately 8" L.
