The James Gillespie Estate Soldiers & Cast Iron Toys Auction
This original late 1870s-1880s J.E. Stevens "thumb-lever" pull-back vest pocket pistol sand mold is a one-of-a-kind matchplate piece found in the attic of the J.E. Stevens factory before its recent demolition. This original sand mold was used in the production of an unmarked pocket pistol cap gun. The mold was procured from the J.E. Stevens site in Connecticut. A unique conversation piece for any toy collection. It measures approximately 13" W x 18.5" H.
