An antique chrome/nickel-plated spelter "Souvenir" Building Bank, it reminds us of Grey Iron or A.C. Williams but is mostly likely European. The coin slot is positioned along the roof ridge behind the cupola. This very heavy and highly polished two-piece architectural bank uses a bottom-threaded center rod assembly. The center tie rod appears to be a vintage replacement. "SOUVENIR" is embossed across the front. The design depicts a municipal town square building, such as a city hall or belfry, with arched windows, side gables featuring circular portal rose windows, and an ornate open-air cupola tower topped by a prominent sphere and tapered steeple spire. The bank appears to retain all of its original components aside from the noted center tie rod. It measures approximately 5" W x 13" H. The overall condition is excellent.
