The James Gillespie Estate Soldiers & Cast Iron Toys Auction
Striking in yellow, this large Wilkins Fire Engine features twin black prancing horses and a dramatic early presentation. Dating to circa 1900, the toy uses a hybrid of steel and cast iron construction with a wood finial and piston. Very good original paint remains, and the proper driver is present. A big beauty! It measures approximately 21" L. The overall condition is very good.
