The James Gillespie Estate Soldiers & Cast Iron Toys Auction
Two adorable early German Bing-style dolls are offered together. The first is an approximately 10" H Dutch or Holland maid with a papier-mache head, jointed cloth body, clothing that appears original, and tiny wooden shoes worn on a necklace around her neck. The second is an approximately 11" H Dutch or ethnic doll with a papier-mache head, a cute outfit, and a jointed cloth body. Both dolls are unmarked but appear to have been made by Bing.
