A rare 1930s JOY doll by Joseph Kallus highlights this two-doll lot. Measuring approximately 15" H, the all-composition JOY doll retains its original paper body label, painted side-glancing eyes, molded topknot hairstyle, and jointed body. Accompanying it is a 12" all-composition Kewpie doll with painted side-glancing eyes, a jointed composition body, and distinctive starfish hands. Overall, the dolls are in fair condition with crazing and cracks present to the composition.
